The initial actions do get us going on our plans. They don’t feel overwhelming. We know we can focus on this moment, right now. What is the next best action? What can we do to take a step in the right direction?

However, life will not go as planned. It never has and it never will. Progress towards the goal will not be a straight line. We will experience many bumps and forks along the path. When life throws that curve, make a change….an adjustment, a course correction.

These actions, corrections, and personally constructed plans are  the definition of what makes us realistic. They are the process by which the “realistic wheel” is set in motion. It isn’t the measure of the goal that makes us realistic, but rather if we have a process in place that we can point to, that makes it so.
